2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid
2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid
Three generations and more than 500,000 sales in Canada have made the Rogue a familiar sight, and for 2027 Nissan adds something the nameplate has never offered: a hybrid built on e-POWER technology. In this all-new Rogue Hybrid, the gasoline engine works purely as a generator. Two electric motors handle propulsion, giving standard all-wheel drive and 225 horsepower of total system output. Nissan estimates fuel use at 6.2 L/100 km combined for the SR grade, based on its own testing. Beyond the powertrain, the SUV gains a new exterior, updated driver assistance and a family-focused cabin with five LATCH anchors in the rear seat. For London drivers splitting the week between errands on Wonderland Road and runs on Highway 401, the electric drive needs no charging at any point. South London Nissan expects the first SR models in fall 2026 in limited numbers, and the SV, SV Premium and Platinum are scheduled for early 2027.
What's new on the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid?
Exterior
Nissan describes the look as "Refined and Tough," with clean, sporty lines and a wide stance. The front fascia uses a geometric honeycomb grille, and the LED headlights are built right into it. Available signature running lamps carry a hexagonal pattern and follow a two-three arrangement, which nods to ni and san, the Japanese words that spell Nissan. SR models go further with unique fascias, model-specific wheels and gloss black trim on the grille, mirrors, pillars and wheel arches.
Overall length is 4,650 mm and width is 1,850 mm, with a 2,705 mm wheelbase. Although its size is close to the previous Rogue, the new design reads wider from the front. Along the sides, sharp fenders meet clean, sculpted surfaces, and a triangular shape at the C-pillar references Mount Fuji. Wheel choices are 18 inches on SV and 19 inches on SR and Platinum, with machined patterns that catch light as they turn. The rear features fine detailing in the available full-width LED tail light.
Interior
Designers kept the controls drivers use most within easy reach. Climate settings, fan speed and the seat heaters each have a physical button, and audio volume adjusts through a scroll wheel below the main screen. High-touch areas use durable matte materials, and piano black surfaces are kept to a minimum, while soft-touch panels and stitching run across the cabin. A head-up display is standard on Platinum, and a new-to-Rogue 64-colour ambient lighting feature is available.
Families get practical touches throughout the cabin. The rear doors open nearly 90 degrees, which helps when lifting a child into a car seat, and the rear bench offers five LATCH anchors so the centre position can take a seat too. Zero Gravity seats are standard up front and in the rear outboard spots. Rear passengers have 920 mm of legroom, a reclining 60/40 seatback and their own climate vents. For the first time in a Rogue, ventilated front seats are available, and engineers reshaped the seatback to preserve rear knee room. Cargo space measures 880.7 L with the rear seats up.
Technology
Entertainment
The base infotainment setup is a 12.3-inch NissanConnect touchscreen paired with a 12.3-inch digital gauge display, wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. Step up to SR or Platinum and both displays grow to 14.3 inches, with Google built-in providing Google Maps, Google Assistant, the Play Store and Google Gemini. Nissan's 15-watt Qi2 magnetic charger is available, with dual pads on Platinum. Platinum listeners get a 10-speaker Bose Premium Audio system with a dual-driver subwoofer.
Safety
The latest ProPILOT Assist uses a new front radar and a camera with a 20% wider view, and it looks an extra second farther down the road. Steering assistance has 12% more authority for smoother lane-centring on curves. Intelligent Cruise Control now operates down to 19 km/h at low speed and offers four following distances. Standard safety equipment covers Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian, Cyclist and Intersection Assist, Blind Spot Warning and Intervention, Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Driver Alertness. SR and Platinum add Rear Automatic Braking, ProPILOT Emergency Stop with e-call and the 3D Enhanced Intelligent Around View Monitor.
Powertrain
Every Rogue Hybrid drives through two electric motors, front and rear, for standard all-wheel drive. The front unit makes 202 horsepower and 243 lb-ft, and the rear unit makes 134 horsepower and 144 lb-ft. The system continuously balances torque between the axles for traction and stability. Drivers can choose from six drive modes, including Eco, Sport and Snow. One-pedal driving through e-Pedal brings the SUV to a complete stop when you lift off the accelerator, and Hill Start Assist is standard. Towing capacity is 680 kg (1,500 lbs) when properly equipped.
